Free beta hCG and PAPP-A
The Free beta human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A) test is a blood test that checks the mother's protein levels. Free bata hCG and PAPP-A is usually used during the first trimester in conjunction with a nuchal translucency test to determine a baby's risk for Down syndrome.
